This is valuable in this forum because as you've said, there are a LOT of new flyers here because the mini is obviously going to be very popular with us beginners. Here is my own list of preflight/pre-checks before I fly This can be used as a DJI Drone preflight checklist for other drones too, like the Mavic, air, etc but it’s tailored towards the mini 3 and 4. I wonder if, along with this pre-flight checklist, anyone has any links to good tutorials for us new folks to study? In conjunction with a standardized pre-flight checklist, there are certain steps you should take each and every time you complete an operation. I'm attaching copies of the checklist to this post in Pages, Word and PDF format in case anyone wants to add/subtract. So in the meantime, I'd love to read up and see some good instructional videos to get me educated on how to set things up, calibrate everything, etc. About to fly your Phantom 4 Pro and nervous you may be forgetting something Follow the pre-flight checklist and set-up guidelines in this video for a worry. I saw some PreFlight Checklists posted here and on the net so I gleaned some info and put together a checklist that has been working for me. So outdoor flying may be out of the question for some time. And when I say windy, I mean 40+mph with higher gusts. The weather here is frequently windy, and that's been true since I got the mini and it appears it will continue to be for at least the next week or more. Note that certain areas, such as the UA, hospitals and national parks have strict regulations about drone use. Please be sure to get permission to fly your drone in that area. But it's been totally lacking in teaching me how to fly based on compass and GPS, or even how to calibrate and set things up. Download and install DJI pre-flight checklist app or use the paper version (download here) You may now take the drone to your site. This has been good for getting a feel for the controls, maneuvering, controlling the camera and gimbal, and learning the app, etc. I've had the mini for a few days, and have now made a number of flights indoors, mostly in our building at work. I'm a total newbie at this, so this is helpful.
